The exact scope of work for each client will depend on the package, proposal, quotation or agreement accepted by the client.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website or engaging My House Studio for any service, you confirm that:

You have read and understood these Terms.
You agree to comply with these Terms.

You have the authority to provide information, documents, plans and property details relating to the project.

3. Scope of Services

Service agreement, where applicable

Any service that is not specifically included in the agreed scope may be treated as an additional service and may involve additional charges.

For example, purchasing a floor-plan service does not automatically include:

Interior design
Structural design
MEP design
Site supervision
Contractor management
Government approvals
Construction work
Material procurement
Quantity estimation
3D walkthroughs
Unlimited revisions

unless such services are specifically mentioned in the agreed package.

4. Client Information and Project Requirements

The client is responsible for providing accurate and complete project information.

This may include:

Plot dimensions
Plot size
Plot orientation/direction
Road direction
Site location
Existing structure details
Number of floors
Family requirements
Room requirements
Vastu preferences
Interior requirements
Budget expectations
Reference images
Existing drawings
Site photographs and videos
Survey information
Applicable site restrictions

My House Studio will prepare designs based on the information provided by the client.

5. Plot Dimensions and Site Measurements

The client must provide correct plot dimensions and site information before the design process begins.

My House Studio will not be responsible for errors resulting from incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate:

Plot dimensions
Site measurements
Levels
Boundaries
Orientation
Site information
Existing construction details

provided by the client or another third party.

If the client later changes or corrects the dimensions after design work has begun, redesign or rework may be treated as an additional service and additional charges may apply.

Where accurate site measurement is necessary, the client is advised to have the property measured by an appropriate surveyor or qualified professional.

6. Design Process

Our design process may involve multiple stages, depending on the selected service.

These may include:

Client review
Revisions
Design approval

The exact process may vary according to the project.

Clients are expected to review drawings carefully before giving approval.

7. Design Approval

Once the client approves a particular design, layout, floor plan, elevation, interior concept or project stage, My House Studio may proceed to the next stage.

Once a design stage has been approved, substantial changes requested afterwards may attract additional charges.

Clients are therefore advised to review all dimensions, requirements and design elements carefully before final approval.

8. Revisions and Design Changes

The number of revisions included in a project will depend on the package or proposal selected by the client.

A revision generally refers to reasonable modifications within the originally agreed design requirements.

Additional charges may apply when:

The included number of revisions has been exhausted.
The client changes the fundamental project requirements.
Plot dimensions change after work begins.
The number of floors changes.
Room requirements substantially change.
The client requests an entirely new concept.
Approved designs are reopened for major changes.
Changes require substantial redesign.
Changes are requested after final drawings have been prepared.

Any additional revision charges will depend on the nature and extent of work required.

9. Design Timeline

Any project timeline communicated by My House Studio is an estimated timeline unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.

Completion time may be affected by:

Complexity of the project
Size of the property
Client response time
Delayed approvals
Changes in requirements
Additional revisions
Missing information
Technical requirements
Public holidays
Events outside our reasonable control

My House Studio will make reasonable efforts to complete services according to the agreed schedule but cannot guarantee a particular completion date where delays arise from circumstances outside our control.

10. Client Response and Delays

Clients are expected to provide timely:

If the client does not respond for an extended period, the project may be placed on hold.

Restarting an inactive project may be subject to:

Updated pricing, where appropriate

My House Studio will not be responsible for project delays caused by delayed responses, approvals or information from the client.

11. Fees and Payments

Fees for services will be communicated through a quotation, invoice, proposal, package or other written communication.

Depending on the project, payment may be required:

According to project milestones
According to another agreed payment schedule

Work may begin only after receipt of the applicable advance payment.

Where milestone payments apply, My House Studio may pause further work until outstanding payments are received.

12. Taxes

Applicable taxes, including GST where legally applicable, may be charged in addition to the quoted service price unless expressly stated otherwise.

The final invoice will reflect applicable tax requirements.

13. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Architecture and interior design services involve professional time, consultation, creative work and project-specific planning.

Once work has commenced, fees attributable to work already performed are generally non-refundable.

Where a client cancels a project before completion:

Charges may apply for work already completed.
Consultation fees already used may not be refundable.
Third-party expenses already incurred may not be refundable.
Custom design work already prepared may be chargeable.

Any refund, where applicable, will depend on:

Expenses already incurred

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Indian law.

For online projects, the client is responsible for providing accurate site measurements, photographs, videos and other information necessary for design.

Because our designers may not physically inspect the property in an online-only engagement, the client should verify actual site conditions before executing any drawing.

15. Architectural Drawings

Architectural drawings supplied by My House Studio are intended to communicate the design according to the agreed scope.

Before construction, measurements and site conditions should be verified by the appropriate contractor, architect, engineer, surveyor or other qualified professional involved in execution.

Any discrepancy between site conditions and drawings should be reported before construction continues.

16. Structural Drawings

Structural engineering is a specialised professional service.

Structural calculations or structural drawings are included only where specifically stated in the selected package or agreement.

Where structural services are not included, architectural drawings should not be treated as structural engineering documents.

Structural elements such as:

Foundations
Columns
Beams
Slabs
Retaining structures
Load-bearing systems

should be designed, checked and approved by an appropriately qualified structural professional before execution.

17. Electrical, Plumbing and MEP Drawings

Electrical, plumbing and MEP layouts may be provided where included in the agreed project scope.

Final execution should be coordinated with:

Site conditions
Contractors
Equipment specifications
Applicable building codes
Manufacturer recommendations
Appropriate technical professionals

Any changes in appliances, equipment, fixtures or site conditions may require corresponding revisions.

18. Interior Design

Interior designs, layouts, renders, furniture plans and material suggestions are based on the information and preferences available at the time of design.

Colours and materials shown in:

3D renders
Computer screens
Mobile displays
Printed images
Digital presentations

may vary from actual finished materials due to lighting, display settings, manufacturing differences and other factors.

Clients should verify physical samples before final material selection or purchase.

19. 3D Visualisations and Renders

3D renders and visualisations are intended to provide a representation of the proposed design.

Final constructed results may differ due to:

Actual material availability
Lighting conditions
Construction methods
Site conditions
Contractor workmanship
Product availability
Client-requested changes
Budget changes
Manufacturing variations

A 3D render should therefore be understood as a design representation rather than a guarantee that the final construction will be visually identical in every detail.

20. Vastu Consultation

Where Vastu-based planning is requested, My House Studio may incorporate Vastu principles into the design based on client preferences and project feasibility.

Vastu recommendations are advisory in nature and may need to be balanced with:

My House Studio does not guarantee any financial, health, personal or other outcome arising from Vastu-based design decisions.

21. Local Building Rules and Government Approvals

Building regulations, development rules and approval requirements may vary according to:

The client is responsible for ensuring that the project has all legally required permissions and approvals before construction.

Unless expressly included in our scope, My House Studio does not guarantee:

Design recommendations may need to be modified to satisfy local authority requirements.

22. Construction and Site Execution

Unless specifically included in the agreed scope, My House Studio provides design services and does not act as the construction contractor.

Labour performance
Construction quality
Material defects
Site accidents
Contractor delays
Unauthorised design alterations
Improper execution of drawings

The contractor and other execution professionals are responsible for verifying drawings and site conditions before and during construction.

23. Site Supervision

Site supervision is not automatically included with architecture or interior design services.

If site visits or supervision are required, they must be specifically mentioned in the quotation or separately agreed.

Additional fees, travel expenses or accommodation costs may apply to site visits outside the included scope.

24. Contractors and Third-Party Vendors

My House Studio may occasionally suggest or coordinate with:

Contractors
Carpenters
Electricians
Plumbers
Material suppliers
Furniture manufacturers
Consultants
Other vendors

Unless otherwise expressly agreed, such third-party providers operate independently.

My House Studio is not responsible for the acts, omissions, pricing, delays, defects or performance of independent third-party vendors.

Clients should independently review and approve third-party quotations and terms before engagement.

25. Material Prices and Cost Estimates

Any construction cost, material cost or budget estimate communicated by My House Studio is an approximation unless expressly guaranteed under a separate written agreement.

Actual costs may vary because of:

Market prices
Labour rates
Material selections
Location
Transportation
Taxes
Contractor charges
Design changes
Site conditions

The client should obtain current quotations before purchasing materials or starting construction.

26. Intellectual Property Rights

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, designs and materials created by My House Studio, including:

Floor plans
Elevations
Concepts
Drawings
Interior designs
3D models
Renders
Graphics
Presentations
Documentation

remain subject to My House Studio’s intellectual-property rights.

The client receives the right to use the final paid-for design for the project for which it was commissioned, subject to the agreed service terms.

Design files should not be reproduced, resold, commercially redistributed or represented as another designer’s work without written permission.

27. Outstanding Payments and Design Files

My House Studio may withhold final deliverables or editable/source files until all outstanding amounts relating to the project have been paid.

Unless specifically included in the agreement, editable/source files such as:

CAD source files
3D modelling files
Working files
Editable design files

are not automatically included with the final deliverables.

28. Portfolio and Marketing Use

Subject to applicable permissions and confidentiality obligations, My House Studio may request permission to feature completed work in:

Our website
Social media
Portfolio
Brochures
Presentations
Advertisements
Marketing materials

Where necessary, confidential client information will be omitted.

If portfolio or publicity rights are separately addressed in your service agreement, that agreement will apply.

Images
Designs

is owned by or licensed to My House Studio unless otherwise stated.
